Steadfast, Empowering Bright Young Students in Kashmir

Steadfast Nutrition undertook a campaign in the Valley, ensuring bright young minds have the resources they need to excel in their education. With the help of Steadfast Athletes and international cyclists Dr Mohammad Akbar Khan and Arvind Panwar, Steadfast contributed significantly to students' educational journeys in Budgam. The athletes went to PM Shri Boys Middle School Mazhama and Government Middle School Check-i-Kawoosa to deliver stationery supplies on behalf of Steadfast, including diaries and pencils. The initiative upholds their right to education, which has also been the government’s focus after the repeal of Article 370 in the Valley. The effort is also consistent with the school's objective to arm children with the right tools for their education, as outlined in the National Education Policy 2020.

During the event, Dr Mohammad Akbar Khan and Arvind Panwar emphasised the necessity of incorporating sports into the school curriculum, sharing their personal experiences and lessons learnt such as discipline, teamwork, and persistence. Mr Abdul Hameed Rather, the headmaster of PM SHRI Boys Middle School, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Steadfast Nutrition and our athletes for their important contribution, highlighting the positive impact such programmes have on students and the school community.

Furthermore, famous resource person Mr. Bashir Ahmad Gojree discussed the multiple benefits of maintaining a diary, encouraging students to use it as a tool for personal and academic development.

This event was a part of Steadfast Nutrition’s larger initiative to empower children in the Valley. It was also part of a larger sequence of activities and successes by the school aimed at improving the learning environment and providing students with a comprehensive education. Recent drives by the school include the construction of a botanical garden, which provides students with a hands-on learning experience with nature while also promoting environmental awareness.

The making of a cutting-edge technology-integrated learning lab to support modern digital learning methods and improve students' technological skills and the construction of a vermicompost pit, which teaches students about sustainable waste management practices and the importance of organic farming.

Steadfast is committed to maintaining such enriching activities and looks forward to future partnerships and contributions that will benefit children’s educational and personal development.
