Steadfast Nutrition, Bringing Hope & Health to Tibetan Children

Sep 11, 2024

Aman Puri, the founder of Steadfast Nutrition, recently made a huge impression when visiting the Tibetan Children's Village (TCV) in Dharamshala, which serves over 1,100 children, many of whom are orphans and refugees from Tibet. His idea not only provided necessary resources, including supplements to support their health but also generated a sense of belonging and empowerment among the children.

On July 25, 2024, Mr Puri and his team made a generous contribution towards the welfare of the children, including 4 boxes of Steadfast Nutrition’s Peanut Butter Honey Crunchy supplement (12 units each), 1,200 bottles of Stead Apple Cider Vinegar supplement, 1,200 Steadfast workout tees, 1,200 mini shakers (400 ml), and 1,200 Steadfast gift carry bags.

This one-of-its-kind donation was intended to benefit the children's health and well-being and was aligned with Steadfast Nutrition's firm belief in giving back to society. The gifts were received with incredible enthusiasm by the children, as reflected in a touching response from the TCV thanking Mr Puri for his kindness and support.

The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) drive was not just about Steadfast goodies, in addition to the goodies, Mr Aman also shared valuable knowledge about hygiene practices, which is crucial for the health of the children living in the village. His efforts were not limited to this single visit, he also plans to extend support to other TCVs in Dharamshala, which collectively educate around 2,800 students across five schools around the area. The next phase of his initiative includes sending out complex blue notebooks & pens, further improving the educational resources available to these children.

The Tibetan Children’s Village is more than just a school, as it is a nurturing community for Tibetan refugee children. It was founded to provide care & education for orphans and destitute children, TCV puts the spotlight on children with a full-blown approach to learning. The institution not only focuses on academic excellence but also instills strong cultural values, teaching children to live harmoniously as a family. Many staff members are alumni of TCV, which builds a sense of continuity, relatability, and mentorship within the community.

During the course of his visit, the Steadfast Nutrition founder was impressed with the tenacity of these youngsters, who, despite the obstacles of living without parents, are learning to thrive with the help of their mentors. His thoughts on the tour focused on the compassion and love inherent in Tibetan culture, where youngsters are educated to support one another, forming a familial relationship that transcends traditional borders.

During his visit, Mr Puri also lauded the work of TCV community members committed to decreasing environmental impact. He lauded a local champion for her sustainability efforts, emphasising the need for trash reduction and recycling education. This is consistent with Steadfast Nutrition's overall objective of supporting a healthier, more sustainable future.

Words of Gratitude from TCV

The TCV community conveyed their gratitude in a heartfelt message, emphasising how Mr Puri's donations had provided enormous delight to the youngsters. The excitement recorded in images by the school's headmasters demonstrates the beneficial impact of his gift. The TCV family's deep gratitude demonstrates the enormous effect that such acts of compassion can have on the lives of young children.

Finally, Aman Puri's visit to the Tibetan Children's Village shows the value of community support and empowering youngsters via education and resources. His continuous devotion to TCV and related organisations serves as a beacon of hope for many youngsters who face life's obstacles without the support of their parents. Mr Puri and Steadfast Nutrition are working to improve the lives of these young people by establishing a culture of care, education, and environmental responsibility.
